Junior League of Lincoln’s Dish it Up! Raises Record-Breaking Sum to Benefit Community Projects
The Junior League of Lincoln’s 12th annual “Dish It Up!” event raised a record-breaking sum of $47,497 on April 1 at the Holiday Inn in downtown Lincoln. All proceeds will benefit Junior League of Lincoln community projects.
In a new feature this year, a “Fund a Closet” challenge during the event raised $5,171 to support the League’s signature project, ClothesLine, a clothing closet at 12 Lincoln middle and high schools that provides clothing to students in an effort to reduce bullying, meet basic needs, and help students focus on school.
The event showcased heavy hors d’oeuvres, desserts and drink pairings from many of Lincoln’s top chefs and beverage providers. Over 330 attendees enjoyed cuisine from Chef Au Chef, Billy’s, Red Onion Bistro, 9 South Chargrill, Wilderness Ridge, Cupcakes and More, Dish, Chez Hay, and Hey Cupcake.
